Dark & Sultry Candle | Romance Bookshop, Cardamom & Iris

This one started as a tribute to Bryce and Hunt's Winter Solstice... that specific, agonizing, completely deliberate wait. You know the one.

Romance Bookshop was made with the intention of capturing exactly what it feels like to be in the middle of something slow and inevitable and almost unbearably good. Cardamom opens warm and a little electric, the spice that makes you pay attention. Peppered patchouli settles in dark and quietly provocative, the note that makes the whole thing feel like a slow burn that's been building for chapters. White iris drifts in cool and unexpected, the contrast that keeps it sophisticated rather than heavy. Labdanum grounds it all underneath, rich and resinous and ancient, the note that makes this feel less like a candle and more like a foregone conclusion. Hand-poured in coconut wax with an FSC-certified wooden wick, it's made to light on the evenings that feel charged with something you can't quite name yet.

Some things are worth waiting for. This is one of them.
