You don’t have to be a horse racing enthusiast to love a mint julep. It’s been said that Kentucky Derby attendees have been using them to cool off since 1938. There’s no racetrack smells here though. Our take on the mint julep offers all the summertime refreshment but at home, on the porch, no racehorses in sight. The vanilla and mint and lavender will bring all the summer flavors to mind, with both sweet and floral notes. The addition of grapefruit adds just a hint of bitter citrus to balance things perfectly. So light one of our Grapefruit Mint Julep candles, lean back in an Adirondack chair and imagine the gentle breeze rustling through the shady oak trees. Not a horse in sight.

If you choose not to clean the wax out of your jar to reuse it, please consider recycling it.
